I've searched around for some ideas, I would like to have more than enough power and run 2x 6s 5000 Lipos as that's what i use in my 60 size P51s.
The Eflite power 160 requires 9-10S , Any ideas ?

Thanks.

pretty sere the 160 can run on 12s. you will just have to prop it down

I'm flying a Turnigy 80 by 100 mm on 11 cells swinging a 22/12 APC prop and its an outstanding running motor (after a bearing change to ceramics). ESC is also Turnigy 100 high voltage. Very inexpensive package. Presently getting about 6 to 7 minute flights on 3700 Rhino packs (2 4/3700, and 1 3/3700 packs). She will outrun all her Saito or gas cousins with ease and sounds great as she goes blazing by. ed

Thanks for the responces, I get most of my info from these forums. All the guys at the field are gas heads and pretend not to like electric stuff. ( even though I just fly while they adjust the carb for 20 minutes every flight.
I have had good luck with a power 60 on my 60 size mustang, just like a little more power for a bigger one.

I have the EFlight 160 in mine on 10s and it is way over powered. It will easily go straight up out of sight from take off. On 12s it should be insane, or you can prop it down for even more duration. If the latter you will want a very low Kv so you can still keep a nice big prop on it.

LOL, yea they just  that. Also after your done flying, just unplug the battery and put the plane in the car. Your already driving away while they're wiping all the oil off their planes..... :) Happy Flying.

I have had good luck with the Eflite motors, I have PTS mustang with a power 60 with 6s and it's almost like a stunt plane with the power, Also a H9 Miss America Mustang with the power 60 and 6s decent power and and good flight times.
The reason for running 12s on the 150 Mustang is I have 4 6s 5000mah Thunder power packs , I don't want to buy more lipos for another planes( You know how that goes).
Thanks again for your guys help, The only electric guys at my field fly 3D stuff. Everyone else likes to clean up oil ,adjust carbs and carry 12 gallons of fuel with them.
