not only for li-ion and polymers but also for ni-mh batteries u can do
it, the only one u shouldnt is ni-cd. BUT It totally depends on your
charger. if its an intelligent charger (which terminates charging after
full charge) you can do it. and if it isnt, the batteries get warm and
hot and this reduce their lifetime significatly what ever type they
are, no difference.
