why is it necessary to install cookies, to browse your catalog?

My question exactly. My firewall blocks cookies - there's no need for any
cookies if I'm just browsing your catalogue. Although of course some form of
spamming site might be able to make use of my surfing habits ;) I'm not
looking until this is taken off.

I just checked a couple of trucks to see how you compare to tower:

Terra crusher: 389.99 + 4.99 shipping at tower. I also used the $25 off add #.

379.99 + 6.99 from you. $17 more from you!!!!

Emaxx: 319.99 + 4.99 & used a $25 off add number.

was that 339.99 + 6.99??

Oh well. I supose its hard to match towers price due to their volume.

So I was 10.00 cheaper on the terra crusher. Was the tower price of 389.99
before or after the 25 couple. Was the emaxx 319.99 before or after the
coupon. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll take a look and see what I can
do.

I've lowered the price on the Emaxx to 319.59. I can't compete with the
coupons thats for sure. Let me know if you see any other over priced items
on our site. If you dig deep enough you'll see on replacement parts I'm much
lower that tower. Thanks

cookies are something that are placed on your computer,
from another computer. They can be okay, they may not be.

A lot of people, like myself, do not like other people putting things
on my computer.

If you have your browser set to just accept cookies, you have hundreds
of them on your computer already.
If you set your browser to 'ask' if you want cookies, you'll be amazed
at how many prompts you get.
When they are too persistant, most just close the window.

SO what happens is, people like me, go to a place like yours,
and just don't look at it once we see that you want to put
something, a cookie, on our computer...

The gain/risk ratio just isn't worth it, to some.

Or to look at it another way- I got a Losi XXX-T RTR for about $240... full
bearings, metal dogbones, etc.

And that was at my local LHS during a "The taxman cometh" fire sale, down
from $270

Thanks for pointing it out. It's hard to keep track of all the pricing
sometimes. The price is now 149.99. Let me know if you see anymore
irregularly priced products. Some Losi kits have a minimum price at which
you can adverstise them.

FYI:

A manufacturer cannot force you to sell a product at no less price X.
They can recommend but cannot force. That would be price-fixing, and
there are very severe laws against it.

It is your decision what the ultimate price will be based on your
business needs.

Actually they do that to protect hobby shops. Losi is a Horizon exclusive
along wth a few othesr. I can sell it cheaper but not advertsie is it
cheaper. It's called MAP pricing.

I have to admit that it sounds like tiltyard is an honest businessman, and willing to work with suggestions on pricing from this board.

Quite different from my LHS!
