Hello,

I am modifying a Twist 40. I have moved the cockpit rear ward, and it will have a small wind screen-not the canopy. I have rounded the tail feathers a bit, I am considering rounding the wing tips as well.

Question: Can I use rounded wing tips on this plane without really hurting performance? This will not really be used for 3d, just close in sport flying. I am converting it to electric. Will the rounded tips hurt the performance? I have kept the tail feathers to their original square inches (approximately).

Suggestions or ideas for the wing tips?? Thanks.

I should not make any noticable difference to performance providing that in 'rounding' you don't change the overall wing area much and as long as the rounding in confined to the tips and not extended into the whole wing (i.e. producing something akin to an elliptical planform).. The latter could produce poor stall behavior.
