Having seen a couple of articles about using (fitting) one of these push
bike speedo's to a heli I thought I'd give it a go on me Hawk. BH it works,
real well too. So I've stuck up some photos and text on a web page. If
anyone's interested, have a look.

ps.
Just in case I get a wagging finger about it (its happened twice already), I
might post a similar message on RR!!!:o|

I'm not so much interested in the tach mod (got a GV-1) but a nice, clean
heli it is,
- yours, I mean.

Very well presented on your site. You have obviously put in a fair bit of
time into the project.

An interesting project indeed - much like a commercial unit I saw a few
years ago (from TT I believe), but yours is a lot less expensive :-)) The
"high rpm" hold, would also be useful in setting head speed in FFF.

Not as effective as the "strobe" tachs available from Hirobo or MinAir, but
still could be of value to many who wonder about these things.
