Having spent some time on the Internet looking into helis and being
rather dissatisfied with the CX2s, no matter how modified, I decided
to part with teh price and ordered my Quark from Greg in Ohio. Good
fellow and an excellent machine. Just looking at it out of the box,
one can see a lot of thought behind this little bird.
Even the skids - one skid has two small bits that raise one side of
the heli so that one does not need to quickly adjust the controls
during takeoff. Air scoops for cooling the motors - no need to drill
holes. This is a full Bell Hiller single blade heli and the
construction is simply wonderful.
When I looked up various helis on the Web, all those who had Quarks
raved about them. The only complaint seemed to be the price, but with
hop-ups and modifications a CX2 quickly gets to the same price level.
You do not need a local hobby shop with parts if nothing breaks, and
every inch of this heli is constructed to survive almost any normal
crash.
