Hey guys I got a new boat (UL-1) last week and tried it Saturday. It has the new Aquacraft 2.4 radio in it. I was very surprised when I found the receiver has absolutely NO antenna wire. It works great. Maybe we finally have a true boat receiver? ;)

You've gotta wonder what the range is. Have you tried it at distance?

Only used it on a small pond...maybe 50 yards or so...worked flawlessly so far...and the water was a bit rough and I had a nice rooster tail to transmit through too.

it darn well better be good to over 100yds! on a 1/6 mile course the boat can get that away from the driver. note: boat is designed with 30' radius turns in mind :).

Just for 'grins', there's still an antenna for that receiver. It's just inside the box.

Actually I've had a brush less hydro on order since last May....it just took a while to get built!
I sort of figured the antenna was inside the little black box. :p
I just added pics of her new paint job at the UL-1 thread here... http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=965826&page=3
