The easiest way to get a model flying in FMS is to use an FMS 2.7 .par file from another model. The .par for 2.7 is very simple compared to the .par for FMS 2.8 and is much easier to swap with another model. Just copy the file and rename it to yourmodelname.par where yourmodelname is the name of your models DirectX .x file.
