I bought my 2nd Lxx last week for my son. His is just as loud as my Modelllista. This morning I did the reverse pinion mod and noticed it was deformed. It had no disk on the end and the teeth were "deformed". I put and extra MS pinion on, reversed to keep the idler from moving around, that did the trick once again. Noise decreased and speed increased ! Still noiser that any of my others. I'll try swapping the idler and axles next for s&g.
