I have read with interest the thread on modifying a Spektrum DX6 transmitter to extend the operating time between charges by changing the linear voltage regulator to a switching regulator from Dimension Engineering. I am 75 years old and have a familial tremor that prevents me from doing tasks requiring fine motor skills and I am now unable to accomplish this mod myself. Several years ago, I would have tackled that modification with ease, but not now. Is there anyone out there who would consider making the mod for me for a reasonable fee. The dimension engineering regulator could be supplied by myself when sending/bringing the transmitter to you or you could provide it and add the cost of the regulator to the mod. I live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area and would be willing to bring or ship the transmitter to you and pick up/pay return shipping when ready.

Thanks for your help.

I have done the mod myself and would be willing to install it for you. I am in Slidell, La and have a good reference on here for installing parts, repairing and modding. PM ZO6 Tony here (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/private.php?do=newpm&userid=229653) for my reference. He is in Rochester, NY. If you send the tx and have Dimension Engineering ship the regulator here i'll install it for $20.00 even. Let me know if that will work for you.

Sounds good to me. I will need an address to send it to. Thanks
