Nice build Bbmaker.
Gary does some good plans.
I run with him and his FE group, Rose City Yacht Club, now and then...
In fact their New Years run should be coming up at Westmoreland Park.

found it on the "other" computer that my kid uses for games. this one was 3'long and 16"wide. powered by a astroflight cobalt 25/5turn brushed motor on 12 cells. clipped along at about 25 to 30 mph. this one was sold to another club member and ironicly it was made into a miss bardahl. just like the real burien. this was modeled after the actual boat at the hydro museum in kent. i have tons of pics. also the allison was made entirely of basswood and hand carved valve covers and intakes. even had the reliefs for the valve cover bolts. the engine was destroyed by the current owner in a "crash". this hull is now in the bardahl museum in lake chelan and has been totally restored as the bardahl.

since im showing my former boats i guess ill show my 82 atlas. powered the same but on 14 cells. somewhere around 35-40 mph. the 82 had a vented hull and to make this one competitive i had to close the holes off with some clear laxan and it made a big difference in how it rode and how flighty the hull really was.

ok i did a bit of digging and the paint scheme you have is for the 57 burien not the 60. the 57 burien started out as the tempest and later was renamed the burien. its also a totally different boat. the 57 tempest/burien is a 27' boat and the 60 burien is a 30' boat. and my paint is for the 60. as for my boat being pictured on teh classic thunder site, its not there. another one is there from another builder. i only have a few select pics from the build and after it was painted. ide have to dig for those.

thanks, its ok. i first saw it on this site. http://www.lesliefield.com/default_frame.htm Was just wondering if it was there. i knew it was a different boat. just got the wrong year. I heard the guy built it in his basement and that was the reason it was 27'. The cockpit on the real boat does look kinda stuffy when you look at it. I didnt make my model shorter, so the triangle on the tail doesnt fit the fin.
