Few weeks ago I posted about my brand new DuraTrax Street Force GP
loosing its crystal from the Futaba receiver and shooting across a
parking lot only to be stopped by a 6" straight concrete curb.

Entire left suspension was gone (wheel still attached to wheel hub
ended up a good 30' away), left bulkhead busted, both front shocks
destroyed, shock tower shattered, nothing left of bumper, radio plate
cracked in three pieces, 2 body mounts broke, exhaust manifold was
rammed into left rear tire causing tire to melt, chrome rubbed off
right rear wheel.

I called DuraTrax the next day and explained what happened. A lady
named Lisa told me I can either send in the entire car for repair or
send in the damaged parts for replacement under warranty.

I chose to send in the damaged parts and included a list since many of
the parts were destroyed beyond recognition :o

I received a package from DuraTrax yesterday. With the exception of
one bearing everything I requested was there and then some. All the
suspension parts they shipped were packaged in pairs so I have enough
spares to build a whole new right front suspension. I sent them only
the two rear tires/wheels which were damaged and they sent back a full
set of four. They may have missed the diff bearing since I didn't
send it...I was not able to find it after the wreck. No problem
though since I had a new spare set.

The car is now back to new condition. Total turn around time was 10
days. Everything was done quick and painless with no questions or
hassles.

DuraTrax/Hobby Services took my word as to what happened and stood by
their product. I look forward to buying more of their products in the
future.

Not yet. Couldn't find anything suitable around the garage. I'm
going to stop by a hardware store tomorrow and pick up an assortment.
No way will that car ever go out again without a return spring. What
happened was bad enough but if the car had gone just a few feet to the
left it would have gone through the wheel chair opening and continued
right through the glass doors of the school.

Thought about buying a fail safe but after confirming the servo looses
power after a signal loss (or missing crystal) and the arm is easily
returned with a spring I don't see why there is a need for a fail
safe.

I did buy and installed the optional huge foam bumper!

Actually I have two but maybe you're talking about a different type of
CX? :) That's the problem with letter designations...they can mean a
million different things.

If I was brave enough I'm sure I could get the one on the bottom left
to do a wheelie at 100 mph!
