I'm a newbie here, practicing on a CX2, I recently scored a a great deal on a T-rex 450S (to me anyway), but I'm not ready for it yet. I was looking to get a flight sim, but nothing really good for MAC systems was found that involves using a transmitter, using key boards & a mouse defeats the entire purpose, to me anyway. Would building a training stand be the next best thing & actually learing on the heli first hand with out causing damage? Thanks for any info!!!!!

I would get realflight, And get a pc to run it on...or you may can install vmware and a virtual drive to run realflight or other sim of your choice, on the mac, under the virtual pc.
And would not advice a heli training stand, unless it was one of the pricey ones. Or unless you can desighn and build a good one.
A good sim, and some training gear is your best bet.
Just my 2-cents
Hope this helps, some of the more qualified guys will chim in and advise more.

The flight sims look great, BUT they don't work on MAC systems!!!!! Thats the problem!
Buying another computer is not an option, any other ideas?

Well the idea behind suggesting pc sims was that you'd get them to run on your mac.
The mac issue gets raised alot. Click here (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1190718&highlight=mac#post1190718) for an example of a thread that addresses this. It contains a few suggestions for native mac sims (like xplane) and running pc sims in mac.
