Hi all,
Well it took several months but here it is. Its a Telemaster 2000 with OS 91 FX, B Diss release and a Hobby Lobby cradle. Changed to a tail dragger has a woo 13.5 /6 zinger prop (cut down 15/6 ). balanced without any changes :)
That was a first for me. I bought it built but had to redo th e tail feathers and several other mods. I knocked it the table tonight and pocked a 2" hole in the bottom of the wing. My wife brought a bar of soap down stairs right after that for some reason :censored:

Looks ready for business ozmo01, I haven't done a telemaster tow or cradle launch for many years but would love to try it again.

Let us know how it performs, or if you need to alter the cradle or release mechanism in any way.
Mega air to you,
Steve.

Hey Oz, looks good how big of a glider can this handle? i'm still looking around for some decent flying areas close to us i have found a few and did see some descent slopes close but now i need to find out who owns the property. I almost called you on thanksgiving day to see if you wanted to get out and fly i got in about 10 good flights, im still waiting to try out my winch that i finally got finished, so whenever your ready give me a call and we'll get out and fly.

See ya Steve

SJGoulet,
Hi Steve. I think it should handle up to a 4 meter BUT I have NO EXPERIENCE here so the real answer has to be "dunno". I am sure it shouild handle a 3 meter piggy back no problem.
I supsect it would tow (behind bird would have to have a release) a
4 meter better than piggy backing one.
We just gotta do some slope soaring. How did you like the little breazes we had today? ;) I think 3 or 4 cement blocks would have been 'bout right.

Ozmo, sorry to post again on your thread, hope I'm not a pest. If its any guide or help to you, the club telemaster we used to use (Ray Baines' tele) had the first version of the OS 90 2 stroke in it from the 70's, it was nowhere as power friendly as todays version of that motor.
It routinely cradled gliders of up to 3.5 meters of a decent weight, and would tug 4 metre gliders of up to 2-3 Kg without any trouble at all. I remember though that the cradles we built and used back then had some trouble keeping the glider angle of incidence controlable within the Tele elevator trim without some work, or it meant a slow rise rate to avoid glider shift, or just hanging on and hoping for the best. Luckily for us the Tele pilot was a very good set of hands, that can make all the difference.

Hi all
I did not have a chance to take pics but we tried out the piggy back craddle today. Worked fine. I need to hold down elevator on the climb out and I ran out of gas right after release. So we both glided home no problem! It was just a breif flight at our club fun fly today BUT IT WORKS!
