real flight 3.5 freezes, help!

After a couple minuets of use it freezes. I have to reboot.

Pentium 4 2.4G
XP SP3
2 GB ram

I messed with it for some time. Changing the windows screen resolution to make everything look uncomfortably small helped. It goes about 15 minuets now.

which Nvidea, card, with how much onboard ram, try running ccleaner on your pc, to free up some resources, also download spyware doctor starter edition. freeware as well, should help your pc a lot.

Thanks, I figured out the problem. This is a weird one! The electrolytic capacitors on my motherboard are bad. Several are bulged and leaking. The box was full of a ton or dust. The main cooling fan was not working. I cleaned it and oiled the fan. It now runs much better but is a little herkie jerkie. I will attempt to replace the caps.
