I believe the IMAA considers monoplanes giant at 80" and Bi-Planes at 60". So, I think technically it wouldn't be considered giant no, although thats still a pretty big wing.

Or 1/4 scale and bigger. One of the smallest planes to qualify for IMAA was a 1/4 scale model of the "Bee" bipe and IIRC it was about two feet in span.
And of course if it is a non-scale unit and is one-off, it could be considered a 1:1 scale prototype, and the eyes roll! Tex.
