Details.

The models construction is all Balsa build up with Ultracote covering.
The plane has a 86" wingspan and ready to fly weight of 23 to 24 lbs.
It is designed around the DA50cc gas engine. It will come with full air retracts fully installed including a retractable tail wheel, inner gear doors and an operational sliding canopy!

I saw this plane in Sept at Warbirds over the Rockies. My understanding when i talked to Aeroworks then was that they were doing it as a fiberglass fuse with rivit detail and panels lines. Yes it has installed air retracts and is designed for a DA-50. if they've changed to only balsa built up, then it doesnt justify the $1300-$1500 price range they were estimating it to sell at.
However, it does look good and it is a QB series....meaning a quick build. The DA-50 is a drop in fit and the 4 blade prop is a flying prop.

Guess they decided on a balsa built up ARF and I believe with the quality of their ARF's and what is being supplied with this one it will be well worth the price. It's definately on my list as well as a Keleo scale exhaust for the DA50.

WOW !!!! My heart goes pitter patter looking at this .......breathtaking for an ARF....... the arfs get better all the time.

I HOPE its got a fiberglass fuse with rivit detail when it arrives on the market.

Count lining up for this too. :)

I live in the area and went down to meet the owner of Aeroworks - Rocco. Great guy who showed us all around his new building, including a hands on breifing of the P-51. It is really a nice plane with excellent craftmanship.

It may not be a glass fuse with faux rivets, but I think anyone who ordered one of these would be pretty happy.

Turns out there is no glass fuse...but then it looks like a relatively easy build...

And its only $1900.00?????? Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would now like to see what TBM will come up with in the way of a Mustang. Either that or I will stick to the TF GS P51...

Looks nice but a little expensive for an all wood model with film covering! Whats the advantage over the Topflite ARF P-51 just curious? I would like to see an all molded version for that price with rivets and panel lines...
