Could someone kindly tell the list of the cables/adapters needed for install/compile/program software for the Tiny 2.11 autopilot? I have seen some confused statements in the list of the items in the bundles for the Tiny 2.11 from the vendor PPZUAV. Some of the separated items within the bundle are in fact refer to the same things. David from PPZUAV insisted that certain cables/adapters in this bundle will not be sold separately and can only be obtained by buying the whole bundle.

I already have the RF modem pairs, and will buy the assembled Tiny 2.11 board with GPS. What else cable/adapters are needed for install/compile/program software in Tiny 2.11 autopilot? Which vendors other than PPZUAV carry the similar items?

Thanks a lot.

well, first off you dont need any cables/adapters to compile the code. David sells all of his 2.11s with the bootloader installed already, and he sends the boards with a mini-USB to Tiny adapter harness. This means you can flash the compiled code onto the 2.11 as long as you have a computer with Ubuntu/debian, a USB port, and a mini USB to USB cable.

In David's bundles with RF included(xbees) he shows in the pictures some cables to interface the modules to the Tiny(AWESOME!). He also shows the FTDI cables that come with some bundles for running Tiny2.11 data to your computer without the need for RF modem(great for initial development work).

David would be crazy to sell these little cables as individual items as there would be no way to cost them. We are talking about a 7 pin molex with flying wires on them. If you are buying an assembled board you will get the programming mini-USB cable. You will need a host of Molex connectors to connect servos and your modems, and your IR sensors if you go that route. David sells his IR sensors with cables attached(AWESOME!).

Paparazzi is still DIY, and as such, you will need to do quite a bit yourself, including getting molex connectors and pins for servos and sensors and anything else your heart desires to connect to the Tiny.

Good luck, I hope this answers your questions.
