Hey every one. Just wondering who would be up for a Gee-Bee building/flying contest. Every one needs to build from the plan I post below, and needs to follow a set of rules to make this fair for every one. PLease be help full when others have questions on this plane.
The entry date closes at Dec. 10th, but building starts Dec. 1st.
The end date of this contest ends January 31st.
You'll be graded on 3 main subjects: flight time, how well model is built(glue joints, covering etc...) and how smooth the model flys. Pictures and video need to be posted up for proof of flight time. If you do not have either camera or video please have a someone who can suply proof.

Guys, if some one needs help with building or just a general question help them. That is why they joined here in the first place, to recive help from the smarter people.

I know some on here don't have all of the nice tools to build a nice plane. Like I don;t have a stripper so I'll end up sending some one my rubber to help me out. I've lost all my old FF tools, so I need to buy those all over again. Which is going to suck lol

Prize, most likely be something from peck polymers or something simple yet a great tool to have.

Thanks guys, more people we have in this the better.Start cleaning your work benches and colect meterials.

Good luck

GEEEZ! You HAD to pick that plan? That's a special superlight indoor only design that looks like it would be a LOT of work to build just right.

What about the old Walt Mooney Pnut in either the offical Pnut size or a "Jumbo" class of twice size?

Thread is going to be closed to I get some PM responses with people who want to build.
I dont want a contest that is way above peoples' building abilities and the plane is more work to do right then have fun.

That's one tough build! Why not leave it open to any Gee Bee? That way the builder can select a model in keeping with his skill level/experience/time available ? I may even be tempted to give it a go myself if that were the case, I've long had a hankering to do a Gee Bee Z.

Good luck with your build, it will be mighty impressive if you can produce a good model from that plan.

I might be up to building a Geebee, but not from that plan unless I were allowed to modify it. There are some structural issues in that design that I really take issue with.
