Hi Guys,
This is my first ever visit to the Hovercraft section of rcgroups :)
I've always wanted to build a scale SRN6, and with lighter Lipos / brushless motors etc.. we now seem to have all the technology to get the best scale performance. I would welcome any help and advice from you guys :) I've built / flown rc model aircraft of many types for the last 20 years and have recently converted over to electric there, so Hovercraft are new to me, but scratch building is not a problem, so if anyone can point me in the direction of a good plan (or finished model for sale) please let me know! Many thanks.
Mark

your in luck i have built a few SRN6s you can get some plans from marine modeling interneatonal plans service see https://shop.traplet.com/product.aspx?c=1399 this is a good base to start wiht but will not produce an acurarte scal model so what i did was use these plans as a base then i emailed the hovercraft museum trust based at lee on the solent at HMS DEADALUs or something like that they have lots of old plans including SRN6 plans i have got a few copies by them at a mere £35 then just scale the drawings to what ever you need i am currently buliding an SRN6 MK5 well deck a modified version of an SRN6 see the link for construction pics http://www.flickr.com/photos/19759955@N07/sets/72157604498903510/ for more info please feel free to email me tim.g.stevenson@btinternet.com also have a look at http://www.model-hovercraft.com/srn6/srn6.html Mark is the master of scale modle building hope this helps
