Anybody seen one of these fly? Are they any good?

I have never heard of the airfoil - Eppler 195. How well will it penetrate on the windy days?
Thanks for any input.

Looks like a pretty nice model. Eppler airfoils are the basis of most of the more modern Selig and other airfoils. The 195 is about 11% thick, basically flat bottomed beyond the spar, and should penetrate OK. I have never seen a M&M kit, so I couldn't speak to that. I wouldn't be afraid to order it from what I saw.
Best of luck with your decision.

Hey Schrederman,
I have seen the Marauder fly and it does quite well in the RES class for which it was designed. It is very well thought out and it builds quite strong. I did the CAD plans for the marauder so I am quite familiar with the structure. The eppler 195 is a good foil for the marauder and it flys well. I also am one of the thermal columnists for the lift zone and mentioned it in my February article which should be posted soon. Merril is a good guy, and his planes are very well designed and I would not hesitate buying it. Now I understand I am a bit biased on the issue, but I still feel it is well worth the money. It may not have a fancy glass fuselage, but the wood fuse is more than stout enough. The double surface air brakes work extremely well and do not induce a pitch change so no elevator preset is needed on landing.
I have a kit, but it's a bit far back on my build list but I hope to have it in the air this summer.
Hope this helps,

It is a great model. You can see it fly May in Visalia CA at the RES contest.
I fly it at the contest in Covina CA every month and do so good that I beat open class planes with it. Working on Level V LSF with it.
