fms and xp sp2

i downloaded FMS beta 8.5 to upgrade from beta 7, it worked like a champ, but then i got an iPhone and needed to upgrade windows XP to Service Pack 2, well, since i did that, my FMS is all screwed up, it will load models and landscapes, but no control of the model and it seems to freeze a couple seconds into it, i have spent the afternoon uninstalling and reinstalling, but i am lost

any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you sure you did'nt upgrade the windows xp to SP3 not 2, it should runn fine with sp2, but i doubt it would with sp3.

If your sure you got sp2, then uninstall the fms, and gto c: and program files, and remove and fms files left after uninstalling fms, then reboot, and reinstall fms again

If you got service pack 3, and not 2 then you'll have to probly remove sp3.

in my opinion sp2 sucks, my computer has Acted like crap ever since the I installed it. If FMS runs fine with sp3 then I will get it and try again

FMS (V2 alpha 8.5) ran fine for me under Windows XP Home SP2 and nothing has changed with SP3.

But I guess you'll just have to hope SP3 does it for you :).
