Hi,
I'm a pilot and a current student working on a degree in professional aviation. My college is in the middle of nowhere and I've decided to take up some RC flying. I'm planning on getting the Hobby Zone Super Cub soon. For practice purposes I want to barrow G3.5 from my friend to put on my computer, one problem: I don't have a controller. I've found an FS one controller for a good price, can any one tell me if it will work with G3.5???

Thanks,
Andrew

Though I'm pretty new with realflight, I'd have to say no. When you install at least ver. 4 -4.5 the software asks for the controllers serial number & checks for it each time you start the app. The app actually won't start up if the registered controller isn't pluged in. Now, as to if there are ways around this, or if this is not the case with 3.5 - I don't know.

The high end sim's have what you might call a "hardware copy protection scheme". The software will not work without the sim-specific dongle/interface to which you connect either a sim-TX or your real TX.

I think you might be referring to the sim-TX for fsone that can be bought separately. That does not include the dongle (which you only get with the sim itself). And btw, the fsone sim-tx only works with fsone (regardless of dongle).

So that leads us to the purpose of all this... buying a sim... if you want a hi end one.

Oh, ok, thanks for the replies. I didn't think it would, but didn't hurt to ask.
