Hello, I need some help, I have a Polk's Hobby Tracker III and love it for all of my flying needs but I recently bought a flight simulator from Reflex, Model Reflex-xtr model 5.03. Can anyone tell me how to set up the transmitter so that the computer will see it as being on? Yes I have activated the simulator mode and my transmitter isn't transmitting. I just don't know where to go from here. Thank You all.

You could check the Reflex site (http://www.reflex-sim.de/reflex-sim/shop/catalog/faqdesk_index.php?faqPath=15_35) for your tx and for general information on txs. Should be in a mode sending PPM signals to a buddy box, correct wiring provided...

I'm sorry to have to ask this, but did you buy a full retail package that came complete with the Reflex dongle, or just a copy of the CD ?
Assuming you have the retail package, then you need to confirm that your TX is actually capable of sending a standard PPM signal from the trainer port. If it uses a PCM standard, or its own PPM standard there is a strong probability that the dongle can not read the pulses and see the attached transmitter.
I've tried to google for the manual to see what type of trainer port is fitted to this radio (which seems to have some decent specifications) but haven't been successful (the same review keeps cropping up !). However you can use a windows soundcard based scope program to locate the pin that outputs the PPM signals which should look something like the image below

Once you find the pin with the signal you should then be in a position to get the correct adaptor lead for the dongle (or make one up your self).
Hope this helps
