Do not install Adobe flash player 10 it will add a block to your computer. If you use Photobucket

Here's the official statement from PB

We are sorry that you are currently experiencing issues with the one-click copy feature provided with your Photobucket account. Adobe recently released Adobe Flash Player Version 10. There were changes in that program to prevent problems with potentially dangerous content being added to your clipboard. Those changes interacted with the one-click copy feature provided by Photobucket.

Photobucket is actively working on a resolution for the issue and plans to have that available in the near future.

I hate adobe! A number of years ago, when the PDF reader was updating it swept my computer for other of their products, It removed older versions of all the products I had been using. the PDF editor, and other PDF and photo software I had purchased.
The editor program was a down load. When I complained to them I was told tuff buy a new copy, I told them that I didn't need all the fancy stuff for what I did. They said to bad buy a big bucks copy and don't use the stuff.
So be careful as their stuff tends to auto load and install before you can stop it.
I removed flash player 10 and the auto copy now works again.

I keep getting a "debug manager" popping up, and trying to force itself on me to use it. As it's unsolicited, I suspect it to be a virus in disguise---. :p

What's your read on that one?

I'm not the guy to ask as I'm basically computer stupid as far as the ins and outs of the inner workings my son is a IT manager. I found out about this this morning and from photo buckets site. But it sounds like it could be a virus.
Should have added this to the first post http://forums.photobucket.com/index.php
has some quick fixes till it is corrected. I also understand that there might be some other problems too. its in the TECH help section of the forum under auto copy and a couple of other questions.

I don't mind Adobe and I use Photobucket a lot. Got an Adobe update this morning so I need to check this out. One thing I havn't figured out is when your on a PDF page and want to go back to where you started I have to X out the site and start over with what I want to get back to. Any way to click PDF off and get back to where you started? Pete

Mac or PC is becoming less relevant in the increasing thin-client nature of web apps. Both will be equally as vulnerable.

Mac is only less attacked because there is little to gain by writing a virus or trojan that can only affect less than 10% of the computer population. If the situation were reversed between Apple and Microsoft, Apple would be having the same issues Microsoft currently is and Microsoft is responding with really strong security processes these days. No other manufacturer of OS software comes close. There is no 'holy war' here in malware defense. Malware is an equal opportunity chance for destruction no matter the platform.

As for issues such as this, it is NOT Adobe's fault either. Adobe is doing the right thing by tightening the security of their product. Never complain about someone protecting you against being attacked. That's kind of like complaining that someone sent you free money in the mail and didn't ask anything back for it other than you have to open the letter. Yeah, you might get a paper cut, it might sting, but it heals and you move on and enjoy your free money.

Photobucket will re-code their one-click feature to be more secure and interact more properly with other applications. This is the nature of software and it will not change for the forseeable future.

You can always uninstall Flash 10 if you need the one-click feature. You can re-install it after Photobucket fixes their side of the issue.
