3-piece wing wire connection

I just bought the Thermic 2.5m which has a 3-piece wing. I have never owned anything over 2 meter. I am wondering how others connect the outer wing (aileron) servo wire to the center wing panel extension wire. Do I hollow out a cavity in the foam to allow the standard servo plugs to sit? Is there a cleaner setup?

I'd just leave enough slack in the cables that I could connect the cable and then push them back into the wing panesl as they come together. Alternatley you could glue the female connnector into one side and leave some slack to plug the male in from the other and then as they push together the extra wire just dissapears back into the panel.

No hatches required.
