Great pictures old salt. Now I know why they have those big windows in the front of the airplanes.Ha! Glad to see our troops have a good sense of humor too. However the shepherd doing the spotting for the sniper is hilarious. Love those shepherds. Pete

my father USAF photo specialist, korean war, he's on the left, the little he told me over the included, single plane photo run,terrible wheather, pilot had it so close to the ridges you could almost touch the rocks, I focused the camera and saw the faces of marines staring sadly up at the plane, when we landed they told me that was the chosin res. but thats classified for now...

As for me I did 4 active and went to a reserve Navy shore unit that was all in green, so I feel you monochromatic pain.

US Navy, 84-88, ATAN, AIMD, NAS Whidbey Island, Washington
Sailed on the USS John F Kennedy, IM-3 Div and USS Dwight D Eisenhower with
VAQ-140 the Patriots, flying the EA-6B tactical radar jamming aircraft which are being phased out and replaced by the EA-18 Growler. Thank You to all the Vets who served in combat and the ones who didn't make it home. **SALUTE**

My parents retired (he 2 stars) in Whidbey, 32 years! My brother flew 60 series helos for the Navy and retired after 20 in Pearl.
