Hey guys,

I've got my panels constructed but before I start joining them together I wand to be done with as much of the sanding as possible. The charlesriverrc website has the file "wing_plan_V2.pdf" that state the angles at which the various sections should be. Has anyone built a jig that will guide a sanding block along these angles? I'd like to get the airfoil as close as I can (and I know there's only so much that a built-up balsa wing construction method can do). So, has anyone built a jig to do this?

Thanks!

Brian, that's what I was wondering if anyone had actually done and it appears that Lothar Thole has in the RCSD article. Thanks Miraj.

Any other realizations of a sanding jig?

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=699593 contains a description and photo of the sanding jig I have used for making trailing edges for the last 20 years. Just two pieces of two inch wide 3/16 inch thick flat iron bolted together offset by one inch for makng 1 inch wide 3/16 trailing edges for a 10 inch chord AG35 airfol. I have used the same jig for SD7037 airfoils.
