Can anyone tell me how to change the launch altitude on G4 at the thermal field?

For a long, long time I had no success hand launching the BOT or the Spirit 100 at the Thermal Field.. then I discovered one very important fact.
The spoilers on the BOT and the speed brakes on the Spirit (ailerons up and flaps down) are controlled by the throttle axis on the controller. Once I pushed the throttle to "full throttle", I was able to "hand launch" either glider and catch a thermal before I sunk to the ground.
After launch, let the glider drift slightly to the left, towards the tree and into the thermals that are marked over there. Once the plane starts to rise, put it into a gentle right hand turn, and let it spiral up. You will be up to 200 feet in no time at all!
Also fun is to take either one of these models to the Sierra cliff, tone down the wind to about 15 kts and launch it. If that is too much wind to maintain control, reduce it further and practice. Excellent practice for managing the glider in a good wind.
The real thing is even more fun... I maiden'ed my Gentle Lady this last weekend, and am definitely hooked!

The larger sailplanes available in G4, as well as some of the planes that can be imported into the program, are too heavy to handlaunch. I tried to go into the programs editing mode and change the starting altiutde, but I can't get the program to save the change. Someone told me that there is a hotkey function that releases the plane several hundred feet up. I've downloaded a Pike Perfect from Skip Miller Models website and I'm anxious to try it.

With the following it must work:
http://www.granitegliderguiders.org/g3/RealFlight/RealFlightThermalSoaring.htm
It's for 3.5 but it works same on G4 (if not mistaking)
Below pdf's I made earlyer.
Cheers, Jurgen.

I hand launch the Espada and pike all the time. Your using this for thermal practice. Best to start at 100 feet, no? Just head for the trees.

Try the discus launch setting. It works well for larger sailplanes on my version 4.5...

The wind and thermals effects in Real Flight are very cheesy - but now its a moot point because I don't like the way their sailplanes handle, and have found free powered sailplanes online I like a lot better...I just fly those aerobatic mostly

in the thermal park, under the view menu, under camera, you can set it for bungee launch, so the aircraft starts as if it has just released off the bungee line.
