I'm just curious if you guys would be interested in a kit of the Axon Racer without any electronics, just the fan units. I could recommend what motors and speed controls you would want to use.

i'm thinking about to make something like this on my own
Isn't it a 55mm 4000kV (30A ESC) ducted propulsion and 55mm 2000kV (15A ESC) ducted lift fan? Add 3s1p@1800mAh Lipo and some polyethylene foam, 4g steering servero and you are ready to go... isn't it?

I'd go with a bigger servo - I'm replacing all the 4g servos with 8g for better steering and reliability. Sure have a go at it! Looking forward to see what you come up with.

I've already gotten a special request order for a no electronics kit, so I guess I'll make it an informal announcement of $99 Axon Racer Kit, no electronics, plus $15 shipping conUS. Includes fans, rudder assembly, skid, base, Lexan painted hood, instructions and our nice packaging :)

Requires - two brushless or brushed motors 370 size.
Two or one ESC (depending on if you go brushed or brushless)
8 gram servo
Receiver
1300 - 2200 3s lipo battery
2 channel radio

Thank you for info.
one esc for brushless? lift fan is always on 100% or it is a mixture of propulsion throttle and lifting?

you can mix the two fans or have the lift fan on seperately.

Just sent you a PM about this. I just wanted to verify that they're in stock and that I could get one by Christmas.

3 channel is the most you would need.
