I'm looking for a uav that can be preprogrammed for waypoints, autonomous landing/take off if possible and general self-navigation/flying ability. Aileron compatibility preferable.

That's a lot of waypoints for VLOSMaybe he has a COA. We are not the police. I assume he will follow all the laws. Why should we be concerned?

Could be, but I doubt it. One big mishap could set the integration effort back years… Some of the folks out here are hoping for a legal future that includes a real business plan and some start up money. Hard to find a few million $'s in todays regulatory environment... :)

Ok, one big mishap ( or even a minor one would do it ) and you can forget it, period, beccause anything that fies remotely, even with a rubber band will be stopped, all this, all the effort that people like myself and the countless others that have already spent thousands of Dollars/GBP and just as many hours labour will be banned! Personaly, having the pleasure to fly a romotely controled aerial vehicle represents a serious and passionate portion of my spare time, but I am becoming more and more concerned that a number of unusual requests ( I might even say obvious ones in some cases ), here and on other forums with similar interest, are being asked with increasing regularity and anyone that appears to suggest that a darker element to our enjoyment might exist, seems to be infamously shot down in flames. There should be no quarter for political correctness when it comes to Human safety.

I often wonder why people say that (One mishap and they're all banned). Just offhand locally here in the last year there were 2 examples of full-size aircraft carnage.
One, an 80 year old pilot unexplainadly veers into the city in his twin-engine Malibu plane and plows into the side of a condo building. Luckily pilot is only one killed. But the condo is devasted(1.5 million damage) One year later and many people are still homeless.
Another, A Bell 206 (A single engine helicopter) flying low over the city inspecting power lines loses power and crashes down on the street onto an innocent pedestrian, Killing him and the 3 people that were on the heli.
Yet I still see the sky filled with such planes and helis flying everyday. No one got shut down or even slowed down.
