Simple way to check motors/servos or simple free flight controller. Easy to build (1 chip) and only cost couple dollars. Originally designed to aid in characterizing scope traces as part of my DIY ESC project:

Later found it very helpful to test motors and servos from china. Not the best QC, those guys. Big hassle having to connect RX and sick of recharging TX batts just to check parts. Also had fun getting a plane to takeoff and land autonomously without radio control.
Attached are schematics and instructions. FF805.TXT is the HEX file (fuseh=C0 fusel=E4) and should be renamed before loading into Mega8. Hope someone finds this useful. If there's interest I can put up photos.
