I am designing a simple long range Remote Kill switch for training students in Human powered Paragliding.
Too many times have i given the Kill the Motor U*&#$*$,,,$#$#kill the motor over the radio to the student while they are botching a takeoff or landing.. Propellers are $250 a pop and on a screwed up running takeoff it can get old and expensive.
So here is what i have compiled .

Z-Kill - Magento Ignition Gas Engine Kill Switch
User Guide
Z-KILL - Remote Ignition Kill switch for Magneto Ignition Systems (ie Zenoah)
This device allows you to safely and remotely kill your magneto ignition equipped engine from your transmitter. Used for engines that have a magneto type ignition such as Zenoah, Fuji, Quadra, and Conversion type engines.
• 8 Bit Pic Microcontroller
• DSP Noise / Loss of Signal filtering
• PPM-PCM 2048 - 1024 & Spread Spectrum
• Small size 22-Grams
• 100% surface mount
• 220 v 10 Amp relay interface
• Heavy wires

10 amp BEC cause most of our motors have 12 volt electric start systems..

simple 2 channel radio

----------------------------------------------------------
Here is what i need help with... The Kill switch is active-- relay closed when pulses are less than 50% of travel.. i am just going to manually superglue the trottle trim to the max --60% and rely on the spring actuated pushing dow off the throttle to kill the motor..
sounds like that will work right?
I will cut off the right side stick to avoid confusion..
to save time on soldering and testing does anyone know if i can just short the potentiometer with a Momentary switch and epoxy a huge panic button and get rid of the knobs all together?

obviously not a 220v rated panic safty switch but you get the idea..
have my hands full holding a coffee in one hand and the headset radio in the other yelling and the students to keep them in the air .
Anybody want to make me a remote single button 72mhz panic button that will communicate with the z kill switch as seen in the link above?
