I got one of this micro hovercaft from HK. It is my first hovercaft and have never see such small hovercaft till now

As usual the controller is also a charging station and it is hold down by magnet during charging

When it is not power up , the "skit" is just like a pc of plastic :o

Hey there,

Just received mine and I can't seem to get it working.

When I push the throttle or direction buttons, nothing happens.
Sometimes, when the hovercraft is on, the aileron may moverandomly, even if the TX is off

Also, does any LED light up when charging? cause nothing is lit on mine.

Any help is appreciated... Thanx

PS: Brando has them for 34$, free shipping until end of year (http://toys.brando.com.hk/prod_detail.php?prod_id=00342&dept_id=001&cat_id=004)

sounds like its totally dead, I'd email or call the place you purchased from and get a refund or exchange.

Target and Toys R Us have these things under the AirHogs brand, and on sale for 15 bucks around here. At that price, it was hard to pass up. Pretty simple and straight forward design, works pleanty well, though controlling it takes some practice.

I didnt like the short run time, which was maybe 5 minutes max, so I cracked it open and found a little FullRiver 20mah cell. I swapped that out with a FullRiver 50mah and added a set of micro connectors to the charging points so I could charge the cell with my own charger and so I could also seal up the skirt.

I found that removing the upper fan shroud helped the speed a noticable amount and didnt bother the lift at all. The rudder is easily removable and I noticed that there is a magnet mounted in front of the actuator coil that causes the rudder to deflect to the left, helping to counter-act the prop wash torque over the rudder. Nice bit of thinking there by the designers.

A fixed verticle stabilizer will soon be placed a little ways behind the rudder to help it track easier - it'll wander without constant steering correction, which isnt easy with the bulky transmitter. I'd like to change that to a one hand unit if possible.

Pretty fun for only 15 bucks though, and even if I get bored with it, the electronics will work pleanty well in a micro plane....parts are parts!
