Hi all,
Just starting out on this project, but when I burn the Live PPZ CD and boot up on it, I get the Knoppix startup screen OK, but it starts the load process and then I get the message ' can't find Knoppix files, sorry'. I've tried downloading and reburning a couple of times but still no luck. Theanswer is probably somewhere but can't find it - any help appreciated

I've never played around with the PPZ live CD, but if it was me, the first thing I would look for is to see if they have published an MD5 sum of their CD image. Then compare that to the md5 sum of your downloaded image to make sure it's intact. Large downloads for some people seem to never work right, and the md5 sum will at least tell you if your download came through intact. If you google around a bit, I'm sure you can find an md5 sum tool for windows (assuming that is the platform you are working on.)
Curt.

Hi Curt,
Yes the MD5 checks out OK, using the free windows tool. However I have found that it is my Vista HP laptop that is the problem. On another XP desktop it runs fine. Having looked a bit further I'm now going to embed it fully on a spare desktop for the moment, if I can get to grips with whatever 'Debian' means in relation to Ubuntu packages!
Best Regards
Richard
