I'm interested in working on a UAV. I know a little bit of electronics, but I am learning more and more as I am working on my BS in Computer Engineering. I am wondering where I can start off. I have signed up and started looking at diydrones.com, but there is not a how-to start off post of sorts.

I'm not sure how all the different parts connect to the micro-controller and talks together. Maybe some links to help me out?

Thanks

Joe

Thanks Guys.. I'm going to check out some of these Starter Kits then. I know on DIYDrones, they had a Arduino Starter Kit as well. Going to look at both of them.

There are so many options, and it's a bit over whelming for people starting out. I may just create a little blog on DIYdrones to maybe help people as I get started.

Here's a link specific to an open source UAV and how it works. http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/index.php/Overview

Here's a link specific to an open source UAV and how it works. http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/index.php/OverviewYES - I suggest you read all you can on the link bmw330i posted. This topic is complicated enough, as those of us that started without guidance know. You would do well to read that link, it should save you time.
