OK, i am new to all of this. I want to make a very quite, very slow boat. its fine if it moves like 1 ft every second or so. I want it to be able to last like 4 + hours per charge. What kind of motor should i use? For all of you who are wondering what i am thinking...I want to make a remote control duck decoy that moves nice and slow. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Two members of our club modified decoys. One did a duck and another a goose. The goose had a 3 channel radio and he made the head swivel. I remember being at a local pond one Sunday during the spring. There were islands in this pond where geese would nest. The goose decoy wandered a little close and a BIG gander came charging off of the island and hit the decoy in the back. Bill on plastic sounded like a gunshot. The bird backed off for a minute and just stared at the decoy. He then hit it one more time and swam back to the island. Mike brought the decoy in and the hatch was pushed down into the body. Mike cut the hatch to follow the feather lines and the hatch was supported by tabs spaced around the opening. It ran on a standard 540 can motor and NiCad pack. Don't discount having the ability to put on a burst of speed. Sometimes it can save your neck. For slow op just use the radio's trim.
I think the duck had a similar running gear setup only using a 2 channel radio.
