Hi guys, decided that im gunna show off what i've got. My dad has been building models particulary boats with me since I was about 10. These are my current boats. Out of the 5 different boats we have only 1 is currently operating. The Amsterdam and Black, the smallest of our powerboats should be running within the next year. Of the five we have scratch built three and have moulds for all three of the fibreglass hulls.

The water damage in the hull of the Amsterdam that I bought recently is quite bad, just moving it around caused this to happen. Turns out it was home to a swarm of tiny little ants that covered me up when the keel broke out.

I will use this thread to ask questions about and post updates on my boats, all input is 100% valued.

Hi Trav,
Better to have found that now I reckon, Good thing its not a timber hull as well :D

Those tiny ants ate out the frames in our bathroom, Welcome to Queensland for us in our first house :censored: and no their not termites
Nick

The hull you've described as semi displacement is a full planing hull, the strakes give that away, the tunnel for the prop is used on full sized boats to reduce shaft angle and draft.
