Hey guys... about 4 years ago I made my first RC hover craft. Powered by a speed 280 in a ducted fan and thrust was provided by a speed 250. Based on a 1/16th balsa slab and a skirt made from a walmart bag. It wasnt a bad design though, ran good till the main fan blew out

Well, I watched that video of the new hover craft, cant recall the name of it. But it inspired me to build once again. :D This time, instead of guestimating, I want to put real skills into it. IE, how to make the skirt, what shape and size ect. If this forum could get some plans and basics help stickies down, that would be great..

Ill have to whip out ye ol' 2D cad tonight and start going at it...:D

I agree. Someone should at least make a basic two fan 3channel hover craft using house hold materials and no advance techniques..

Example.. use garbag bag material tapes instead of sewn together.. Foam instead of wood.. GWS EDF type fans instead of that $100 Carbon fans.
Just stuff any ordinary hobbiest would have or could get easily.

Id go for the challenge but I need one more EDF fan/motor/esc before I can give it a shot

This will get you started in building proper R/C hovercraft. Not everything is spelled out for you, so some previous building experiance (planes or boats) would be advisable.
