Hello,
In switzerland I can get new os max 12cv motor for 35$
and OS-12CV-X (written power instead of max on the motor)
for 147$.
Would you know why there is such a difference of price?
Is it because there is a big power and quality difference?
See you

I looked at www.towerhobbies.com and the "X" means that it has a
pull-starter.
As to why one says "CV POWER" and the other says "O.S. MAX" on the heatsink-
I see no difference, I don't think there is any meaning.
They are both CV as well as O.S. Max motors.
The pullstarter adds weight and a slight power loss, so I'd get a starter
box or a bump starter- or maybe even a Yank Eliminator, and get the CV with
no X.
Are you sure you can get a 12cv for only $35? Or did you mean $135?
Because a pull-start can be around $30 more than a non-pull-start motor.

Yes, I have ordered a few things to this company (3 times).
They seemed serious but I do not think that they ship to USA.
The ref is http://www.model-factory.ch/pbe_10073.html
1 $ is roughly 1.5 CHF (50CHF->35$).
But I think that it is a special offer (for destock
or something like that).

This also what I have been told in local shops.
So I will have to pay the same price for the pull start than for the
motor (funny).

Btw, you cannot use a starter box with the kyosho QRC cars....i think thats
the car you are talking about right?
the drive shafts are underneath the car, so a starter box wont work. You
have to buy a pullstart engine.
And the price must be an typing error. the cv is usually about $110 usd and
the cv-x is about $135

Thanks for the tip.
Do you know if I can use my GS15R electric starter on the os 12cv.
If not why?

It is not a typo error, I have double check but it is not with the pull
start (-x).
