Dues anyone now how I can change from mode 1 to mode 2

Open the back CAREFULLY.

After marking all the ribbon leads, GENTLY remove them and after undoing the
screws, remove the board.

Swap the brass plate and the spring arm over.

Go into the radio, go to FNC, and swap the elevator/throttle settings eg t3
to t2, j3 to j2 and vise versa.

Or take it to a techy, if you have one handy that knows radios well.

I heard that it did also involve recalibrating. And you need to have access
to the hidden service menus for that. I this true?

Yes you need to recalibrate the transmitter.
