Hey Umi: I'm at the point of working out details on the ramp on the LST. Where can I find actuator that was used on the the Ferry Boat. I am familiar with your method and will probably stick with that. Any other suggestions.

I'll post pics later further down the line.

Hi GB,

I am not sure where cos918 (john) got his linear actuator for the Celestine.
I know that I can get air cylinders from Clippard Minimatics.
But cos918's looks electric.... he probably had it surpus from somewhere.

I found them at Servo City, a good source for gears and servo linkages
devices.Servo City (http://www.servocity.com/html/12v_linear_actuators.html)

They have much cheaper gear motors and carry the Hitec robotic servo that offers continuous rotation in either direction

hi there found it on ebay.co.uk. you could try ebay . com , just type linear actuator and hit search
it was made to open sky lite windows.

Checked out info and the prices blew me out. I'll stick with servos. tks anyway.
