Alright, I received two samples of this receiver. I have to say Cathyjoe has been very attentive and communicative, top service so far.
The receiver, out of the package actually weights 3.81 grams, without a crystal. With a crystal it goes up to 4.10 grams; I think a very decent weight, I certainly haven't seen a 72MHz receiver that light straight out the box. I'm sure that with a base loaded antenna (the stock one seems to be 40" long), no connectors and soldering the crystal directly to the receiver the weight may be 3 grams or less. Not bad at all for mini and micro planes.
I'll see if I have the time to install it on a model during the week and fly it next weekend.

Ugh, somehow the notification for this post ended up in the Spam folder of my e-mail account. So sorry for not replying quickly.
Yes and no, I have tested the receivers at home, but I haven't had the time to build a new plane to use them on, or to retrofit them to a plane I already have.
I just can say that in the bench they work just as expected.
Also worth adding is that cathyjoe is (are?) a very nice person to deal with, very attentive and communicative.

I used an UM-5 sized crystal I already had.

Hi there,
on a Dutch forum i read a suggestion that this receiver might be the same as the Corona RS410II. I own a couple of these Corona's and i'm very happy with them.
I use Himodel UM5 crystals and they work just fine :)
Probably a useable crystal for this rceiver too.
