I don't get time to road race. These are sitting around collecting dust.
I'm using the electronics for some other projects. Can you use these?

You probably should not have cross posted this here, this is not a FA/FS
friendly newsgroup. :)

Try a search on Big Jim's R/C and find the R/C auction site through his
links. That is about the biggest FS/FA/WTB R/C related site on the net or it
was...

Selling these to make room for a superior design like a HyperDrive or
RACEtech maybe? I have a HyperDrive oval car and G-force Pro Stock drag car
if you're interested...

Actually there's no problem with well constructed posts that have FA/FS
in their subject .. The problem most have is with SPAM and it's ilk ..

But this newsgroups charter and faq's say it's OK to post FA or FS so
long as it's not trade, not too often and relevant. Ebay _do_ allow
postings under these conditions .. ;)

Go to ebay, and type newsgroup in the Help search box. Try usenet too if you like.

I did that and found nothing about such a policy. There is an
anti-spam policy, but that mostly applies to unsolicited emails to
other eBay members. (Evidently it is not against eBay rules to
indiscriminately spam NON-members' email boxes, but even a spammer can
see why THAT would be pointless.)

In any case, a brief message to a directly related usenet group is NOT
spam. If you indiscriminately advertise your auction to many
unrelated groups, you would be spamming.

Like I said, it appears that you are allowed to promote your auction
in non-eBay forums such as usenet newsgroups. It may be a violation
of the forums' policies, but I am unable to find an eBay policy
against this. The only specific restrictions that I am aware of are
that 1.) you cannot spam other eBay members' emailboxes and 2.) you
cannot sell the item to anyone other than the high bidder (unless the
high bidder turns out to be a non-payer) and 3.) you cannot have
non-eBay bidders bidding against eBay bidders (i.e., the auction has
to be either entirely on eBay or not on eBay at all.)

Exactly, Thanks. Thats what I've been trying to say, but others keep
claiming that posting to newgroups is against ebay policy.

Here, nopw go away!

UseNet Policy
eBay users may not post on Usenet groups (Internet
newsgroups) to advertise eBay or an eBay listing that is
inappropriate or violates the Usenet board policy. If
Usenet abuse is reported to eBay, we may among other
remedies) remove the listing, issue a warning,
temporarily suspend or indefinitely suspend the
offender's eBay account.

We have no tolerance for UseNet abuse and will take
action as appropriate. Please note that we can only take
action in cases where it is clear that an eBay member
has posted to the Usenet inappropriately.

Usenet abuse should also be reported to your ISP
(Internet Service Provider) and the email provider of
the person posting on the Usenet. Both of these
organizations are in a much better position to prevent
future Usenet abuse. Generally, you can send email to
abuse@"ISP".com to properly report perceived
violations.

Ebay doesn't make it easy to link to their popup help windows.
The whole help system uses java popups and such.

Do this:

From the main page: http://www.ebay.com
Click on "Help"--->"A-Z Index"--->"U"--->"Usenet Policy"

OK, let's look at the above sentence.
It states that :
"eBay users may not post on Usenet groups (Internet
newsgroups) to advertise eBay or an eBay listing that is
inappropriate or violates the Usenet board policy."

The Two KEY thoughts?
1) an eBay listing that is inappropriate.
2) violates the Usenet board policy.

1) This is an R/C newsgroup... R/C related posts clearly ARE appropriate.
2) FS and FA posts do not violate THIS BOARD's policy.
(See the bottom of this post for RMRL's guidelines on this issue)
This particular board does not have a FORMAL advertising policy, like most
other newsgroups. As such, advertising our R/C gear here has always been
accepted.
However, our own *guidelines* assert that.....
The group asks that posters that are selling things, should include FS (for
sale) or FA (for auction) in their header.
If an individual continually HOUNDS this board with repeated FS or FA posts, or
cross-posts to other boards, they will be met with flames, and if the practice
continues, may be reported to their ISP, (or Ebay).
Remember, this board is generally a bunch of guys hangin' out, talkin' about a
very specialized hobby.
Folks aren't trading things that you can get at the local K-Mart.
This hobby is expensive, parts are expensive.
I'm sure if it wasn't for used gear being available, there would be some
that couldn't afford to be involved in this hobby at all.
As such, this board is far more tolerant of selling/buying things than other
newsgroups.
This board offers us all the opportunity to sell, trade, and buy used RC gear.
While I personally have never bought or sold any used RC gear, I recognize the
priveledge of others to do so.

>Here, nopw go away!

Hmmmm, showing a little attitude are we?

RMRL's *Guidelines* regarding advertising on this newsgroup: ......

0.4.3. Posting sales / auctions
This is one of those gray areas. If you cross-post an auction or a sale to the
entire rmr* hierarchy, then most people will probably consider that spam and
will
get upset at you. If you must post a sale or an auction, then post only to one
or
two relevant groups, and make sure that in the subject of your message you
include
an unmistakable description of what the message is. For example, the subject
"rad
buggy" would not be acceptable, but "[eBay] XXX buggy with extras" is fine. You

could also use the acronyms "[FA]" to indicate 'for auction' and "[FS]" to
indicate
'for sale'; please do not confuse these two. People also use "[WTB]" for 'Want
To
Buy'. Not everyone is interested in buying stuff, and yes, people will use
these
indicators to make up filters. Please respect that!

I don't have it. This comes up so often, I finally saved it
