I'm having a problem w. my new Assoc starter box (the stainless steel
one w. the single 775 motor) and was wondering if anyone's run into
this problem ...

The starter comes out of the box assembled w. the flywheel running
across the chassis, so to make it work w. my RC10GT, I had to turn the
wheel 90 degrees in the direction of the chassis line. The
instructions describe how to do this, and its not very difficult.
After doing this, I discovered that the wheel isn't centered in the
middle of the slot it sticks out of. SO much that it rubs against the
side of the slot.

I wanted to make sure I wasn't being fooled by the friction of the
drive belt, so I disasembled and reassembled again, this time w/o the
drive belt - the wheel should have spun freely, but again, it wasn't
cented in the slot and was rubbing.

Has anyone else run into this problem with this box?

Its a pretty simple assembly, and I've checked to make sure the
bearings are seated properly on either side of the flywheel. Its
almost as if the mounting screw holes on the top of the box were
drilled slightly out of alignment.

I'll call Assoc tomorrow.
