I have a bottle of nitro thats been in my basement for appx a year...
Sealed tight.. Out of the light.. The basement isnt too warm or cold..
Is it still good?

Yup, the basement's still fine and dandy .. ;)
Seriously, if it's not lost it's colour or discoloured in any other way
then it's worth trying .. ;)

Excellent..
Is there any harm in running crap "older" fuel through the car, or can I just
drain it afterwards and get some fresh stuff?

That old fuel won't hurt your engine.
Try it out. If your engine runs ok, just use that old stuff up. If your engine
won't even start with the old fuel, flush the engine & tank out with new fuel,
and you're good to go.
