I'm trying to find a supplier of R50 (0.5ohm) resistors in a 2512 smd package...to repair a ProdigyII charger for one of the guys in the club...
Tried RS/Farnell....Digikey and Mouser have they but want silly money to ship to the UK...
Anyone have any alternative suppliers ?

Hi, Don't know that charger, but if they used 2512 is because of power dissipation, if you got enough room you may be able to bend the legs of a normal 1/4-1/2W through hole resistor and solder it instead.
Good luck

If you can't find this value you can make it with more resistor in parallel.

Hi Again, just checked, 2512 are supposed to be 1W - so ignore my above post.
but as Ivan said you can put 2 x 1ohm in parallel (solder them on top of each other) the RS part number for a 2512 1Ohm is 224-0008.
hope that helps,
Cheers
