Got my sailcar from these guys:
http://home.earthlink.net/~tjc1n2/lyle2.html
Modelsailcars.com...
Built it up in one night and waited for the snow to recede off the parking
lots.
Tonight after work we had 14 mph wind that were kind of gusty.
I do know how to sail and used to race Losi trucks. Thought this would be a
relaxing alternative to screaming nitro cars doing giant figure eights.
Wrong.
This thing is a blast!
Yes, I put it on it's head a few times, but the speed runs when the wind was
just right
were mind-blowing. I was passing an Associated RC10 GT that was topped out.
That large playground suddenly felt small, I was across and tacking back in
no time.
That thing handles great, and it is tough... bounced it off some stuff and
it never
showed any damage.
I really like it, Got to get some more in my neighborhood.

When it gets nicer out side I will take some pix and post in the binaries
group.

(Sorry if I sounded like a salesman).

They look really fun. I went to the website, and they have some nice pics, but
no prices or ordering information.
How much are they?
Are they controlled just by a steering servo, or is there a "sail winch" servo
in there as well?

This post was in my mailbox and some other NGs.
Hope this helps with location, I have no idea, I'm in Wisconsin.

Dear Windjammer enthusiasts: Next Sunday I will start filming for a CD we
want to make showing the speed and versatility of the Windjammer. If you
live anywhere near Cardiff by the Sea in Southern California, please join us
with or without a sail-car.

The parking lot is just south of Cardiff, before going up the hill to Solana
Beach, right next to the Pacific and great sea-breezes filled with negative
ions to recharge your biological batteries.

See you there!

I got the "almost ready to run" with radio and with shipping
it was a little over $300.
Let them get back to you for the real prices in your area tho.
Might be less, they seem to be still tooling up.

Steering is normal pistol radio style, throttle trigger is the mainsail.
Squeeze for tighter mainsheet, push break for slack mainsail (far reach
for those who sail). A real good sail winch is about $50, it came with the
kit I got. It is the one I would have bought if I had to.

Feels real natural. Never had to think about it.

Get one!
