i just bought myself a harpia from www.soboxplanes.com and im very excited about learning more about this glider,

the glider is built in poland and is very similiar to the art hobby line of gliders in the states,,

i plan on installing a brushless at some point but for now im going to set it up as a pure glider, several nose cones are supplied so i can swap between power or nonpower.

i plan on having an aerotow release in one nose cone and a brushless in the other .

anyone one there doing anything similar??? or flying the harpia?? i would love to hear any comments on this glider

So how does the Harpia fly? I've been looking at the Harpia as well as the Vampire and would like to have some idea of how these models fly before committing myself.

so far i love my harpia ,its a real nice thermal ship but it will also move if i want it to
i set it up for thermalling ,by that i mean i added a bit of poly and dihedral,it signals lift better like that or so im told

i built mine with electrics also so i added a few extra oz but on a glider this size i didnt even notice the extra wing load, the harpia is put together real nice and i feel its maybe a little heavier than art hobby gliders,it still does very well,i happen to like gliders with a bit of extra wing load anyways as im also a ridge soaring nut

the harpia will fly in a very wide range of conditions and im very pleased with it,,i live only about an hour from a guy in canada that sells them and i got a great deal on the plane,,he gave it to me for the price advertised on his site but i payed in canadain funds,,i could have payed twice that if i had bought out of the states buy the time i payed duty etc

i would but another again without a doubt in fact now im looking at the metfisto 2 mtr very nice also cheers viti
