Hello all!

I have just completed a model of the ParkZone F4U Corsair
for the FMS (http://gunnerson.homestead.com/files/pz-corsair.zip) and ClearView (http://gunnerson.homestead.com/files/clearview/Parkzone-F4U-Corsair.zip) simulators.

The ParkZone Corsair (http://www.parkzone.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=PKZ4600) is a beautiful scale warbird that flies great
and slows down well according to all the online flight reports.

Model Specs are:
Wing Span: 44.0 in / 1118mm
Overall Length: 35.0 in / 889mm
Flying Weight: 30.0 oz / 850g
Motor Size: 480 size 960Kv brushless outrunner
Props: 3 blade 8.7x6x3, 2 blade 9.5x7.5x2
Radio: Proportional 4-channel FM, A/R/E/T
Battery: 3-cell 11.1V 1800mAh LiPoly

Please try the model with FMS or ClearView and let me know
how it flies or whether any adjustments are needed.

Thanks Ken,

No where near the work you put in to converting all the models to breakable parts.

Compared to my sprint, you ran a marathon.

Thanks for all your work.

im running fms version 8.5 but when i load this model and quite a few other models i've downloaded lately the sim runs really slow , like 1 frame every 30 seconds .its strange how just a model could slow a pc like that when it otherwise runs normal on others. any fixes ? thanx

Ni-cyclic1,

You do not mention what computer you are running this on. FMS 2.8 expects a better graphic card than FMS 2.7. Laptops do not do well.

You can turn off some graphics features to see if the frame rate improves. On one of my older PCs at home, I have to turn backgrounds off.

The best upgrade for better 3D frame rates in general is a current 3D graphics card for about $50.

If you have a laptop, there will be no joy here. Tough to upgrade.
